Team building means nothing to me because I don't do all that on sports games.

I play one season with real life rosters and turn off trades. I want it to be just like it is in real life. After I play that one season, I turn my attention to online multiplayer.

I don't bother with playing pretend GM so the challenge of trying to build a team doesn't appeal to me.
 
So other than Schmitty and myself, is anyone else getting a PS4 at launch or before the year is over?

I plan on waiting until either next summer or next holiday season before jumping to the PS4.

You know how it works with new consoles. You have to give them time to work out the bugs. They're going to make the system slimmer. etc.

Are you gonna buy the PS3 version as well? I think I'm going to because your stats and progress cross over to next gen and I don't wanna play BF4 next-gen at launch and not know the maps and have the shitty guns while most are way ahead.

Yesterday, EA released a sim vid featuring Madden 25 on next gen. For those who don't know what that is, they basically release a short vid simulating Monday night's game in order to predict a winner.

Well, yesterday was the first time they did this with next-gen footage. The vid has been totally blasted because it looks exactly like current-gen. It got so bad that both ESPN and EA took it down from their sites and have yet to respond to questions asking why they took it down.

I'm glad they are taking all this heat because they deserve it. As long as they continue to make this joke of a game, they should be hounded for it.

Not once have I said that this year's game looks good at all.....not now nor in the months leading up to its release.

I have not owned a basketball game since NBA Live '95. That looks like shat. Are they even competing with 2K or did they just give up?

Yea, that seems to be the consensus - that the game looks pathetic especially in comparison to 2k.

Just look at the faces of the players. It isn't even comparable. If that is really what NBA 2k14 really looks like during actual play, then it absolutely blows NBA Live14's version away.

I probably won't buy either game and if I did it would probably depend mostly on the the franchise mode and my ability to build a team. I just don't get that much enjoyment out of playing basketball video games. I'd be more likely to purchase hockey.
