And they (and I) dispute the legality of communist nationalization of foreign assets anyway, so I don't agree that nationalization is the right of a sovereign state. If there's a treaty that says it is, then we should withdraw, because it's stealing under any definition that a self-described Reagan Republican would ascribe to.

International arbitration tribunals, primarily under the World Bank's ICSID, have repeatedly ruled against Venezuela, ordering it to pay billions to foreign oil companies (like ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil) for unlawfully expropriating their investments in the country's oil sector, violating international law. Venezuela takes assets from US Companies against their will.

The companies dispute the seizure as legal at all.

The companies bring the dispute to "international tribunals," which are run by socialist fucktards from Europe who of course are gonna fawn all over a socialist country and side with them, but still order Venezuela to pay billions of dollars as "adequate compensation."

Venezuela doesn't pay.

Venezuela has thus taken property with the intent to permanently deprive the rightful owners and not even give them compensation.

Somehow not stealing because CNN says so.

The sad thing is, he USED to be a Reagan Conservative.

But he deluded himself into believing Orange Man Bad at some point and now has no independent thoughts of his own other than what Rachel Maddow feeds him.

He's literally siding with Venezuela who is unarguably in the wrong and who unarguably stole from American companies.

It's not a debate. If you say that Venezuela didn't steal, you're an uneducated bozo who doesn't know what they are talking about.

Even if you support nationalization of foreign assets, which no "Reagan Republican," ever would.

It's like the guy forgot that he's allowed to not be a fan of Trump without making up lies on literally every subject that involves Trump.

You could even make an argument that we shouldn't have seized Maduro, while still admitting that Maduro and Chavez stole from Americans. They did. You're a buffoon for saying, implying, or even believing anything different.

I don't know that he is making up lies. I think he is just repeating lies that he thinks are true because MSNBC and CNN told him so. Sort of sucks that you have to really dig for the truth these days. But it is there to be found.

Eh, I'm not convinced that he doesn't know the untruth when he repeats them, at least. Or, at the very, very least, when I point out how he's wrong and it's unarguable, which I frequently do, he sticks to the lie after he knows it is wrong and has been corrected.

And it's not hard to find the truth. Just don't tune in to CNN and MSNBC. They are liars.

Fox isn't great either, you have to go to alternative news sources these days.
