Ya. The only other character was Carver. I liked him in the early seasons when he was running around with Herc, but as he grew and got promoted he started to annoy me.

You're not going to meet many women who bitch and complain throughout that whole drive, but they do so because they're in a hurry to give you a blow job.

That was one annoying chick....bitching even when they were in jail.
 
You know which bit character was kinda pointless? The teacher and ex-girlfriend of Cutty.

They gave you the impression that they'd rekindle their romance and that she would somehow play an important role in Cutty's life after prison, but it never materialized. And while she had a small role in the scenes at the school, her character never really added anything to the show.
 
Omar is obviously first.

Outside of the ones already mentioned I'll go Lester, Mike and McNulty.
 
Forgot about the lawyer chick. She annoyed me a ton. Plus she was ugly and they showed her naked too much.
 
And come on guys, if we're going through an expansive list of characters here, Bubbles?

My favorite bit character was probably Vondas or The Greek, he's not even Greek, man. And Vondas ended up on True Detective too along with Lester, nice touch.

I forgot about the Greek. Someone you never really see but still understood his capabilities.

I liked Bubbles too and was glad to see him get a happy ending.

Vondas was cool and I liked the scene where Avon has him sit down with Marlowe in prison to let him know that he still has the ability to run shit despite being in jail and losing a lot of soldiers.

Is anyone else watching Cosmos? It is a redo of the Carl Sagan series from 30 something years ago. It is amazing to me. Most of what Neil DeGrasse Tyson talks about is stuff we have pretty much known in fact for years, but the way it is explained is really well done. Some new stuff that makes you think, and some old stuff brought back up and re-explained. Really cool.

It's a little lower level than I'd like. He's fun to watch but it's stuff that is covered in high school science.

Yes, but I would be willing to wager this is still a lot of new info to the majority or Fox viewers. The effects are a little overdone, but it's enjoyable.
 
Yeah, I used to teach science, so I'm sure 80% of the people out there watching did the bare minimum to pass and forgot everything as soon as the test was over.

Yeah, he does a good job bringing it down to a level that can be absorbed by the general public.

Plus, he is discounting Christianity almost single-handedly. :unsure

What do you mean by that part? That he's hosting the show by himself? That's kind of obvious. Also, a lot of Christians believe in evolution these days.

The unsure smiley should have shown my intentions. And, you can be Christian and believe in evolution and still not be able to answer the conscious thought element. Adam and Eve were faced with the first moral dilemma ever according to the bible. On Earth. As the center of the universe. All other possible central and conscious progression hinges on that "event". You can't really believe in evolution and believe in the Bible at the same time. It's not wholly (or holy) or truthfully possible.

It depends on how many stories in the bible you think are meant to be literally true and how many are meant to be parables.
