I get that, but it is part of the country's natural resources. I'm all about the free market as everyone is very well aware, but when it comes to oil shouldn't there be some kind of stipulation that would mandate a certain percentage of oil to stay here in certain "emergency" type situations? I mean, (and yes, I know this is an extreme example) if our people here were hurting because of a water shortage wouldn't we keep more here before selling it overseas? They are both natural resources used for daily life, so why are they treated differently?
