The Outrage Thread

Damn, that sucks.

I don't know if it's related at all, but has it been really dry up there? It's been crazy dry down here the last two months at least. I'm sort of an amateur weather geek and I'm not sure I've ever seen the two-week models show barely any rain for the entire country like this except for Florida and the very edges of the gulf coast and upper Northeast. And it's been that way for a while.
Yeah, it's been pretty dry. Occasional rain, but not enough to make much of a difference. Especially not with that kind of wind pushing it.

Crazy high winds have been tearing thru western North Dakota and eastern Montana the last couple days. Multiple prairie fires have run rampant, burning out farms and ranches. I have a few family members that have lost everything, cattle included. One of them had a hired hand die of smoke inhalation trying to fight the fires. The small farming community of Ray, ND was almost completely surrounded by fire. They lost a few buildings on the edge of town, but were able to save the town itself. I couldn't even begin to imagine being trapped in a small town with fire surrounding you, being pushed by 70+ mph winds.

With how the government has reacted to the shit from the hurricane, it makes me wonder if this will even be a blip on their radar.

Damn, bro, I'm sorry to hear this. 😞

The fire on it's way to my cousin Jeff's ranch.

His dually tractor. He had his cultivator hooked up, trying to cut fire rows before the fire got to his place. When the smoke got too bad, he tried to make a run for it. Couldn't see and actually hit this tree. He jumped out and made a run for it. Thank God he made it and was able to run to the house and get in a pickup and get out of there before the fire took over and completely destroyed everything. His house, barns, outbuildings, machinery, livestock. Everything.

They found this poor ol' girl this morning. Standing amongst some of his herd. But all her hair is singed off and her eyes are swollen shut. She was suffering, so he put her down after taking this photo. How she lived through that inferno is beyond me.

Brandon Straka does a lot of good things and started a movement. It's good to see testimonials like this.

I've never heard of him but a lot of these are interesting. This woman in particular was told to do some unscrupulous things.

Asking questions they don't want to answer is now "misinformation" and "disinformation."
