In all seriousness, even an unsubstantiated rumor like this puts a huge smile on my face. If it were to happen =PRICELESS!

Now try and get that image out of your mind.

Welp, that's enough internet for the day.

I Need To Add a Reason for the 2015 Collapse To My List
Hostile said:
Tony Romo's injury and the backup QBs failing to produce is #1.

Dez Bryant's injury and him rushing back to try and salvage the season was #2.

The loss of our effective running game that scored points was #3.

These are the three songs I have been singing. I continue to maintain that #3 was the biggest loss. I feel like having Murray would have fixed #1. But I overlooked something it seems as far as an injury that really hurt us. Lance Dunbar going down was a lot bigger than I thought.

Dunbar only had 5 carries in 2015 in his 4 games before injury, but in those 5 carries he gained 67 yards. Largely in part to one run of 45 yards. Take that away and he was still averaging over 5 yards per carry. No, I am not saying he could have been our primary RB. He also was averaging 24.3 yards on Kickoff Returns. That is not it either. Catching passes out of the backfield. I did not realize that he had 21 catches in 4 games. It was actually 3 games because he got hurt before they even threw him one against the Saints. I mean I knew about the huge game he had in week 3 against Atlanta where he had 10 catches, but I guess I didn't realize he was averaging 7 catches a game. That would total to 112 catches in a 16 game season. Now, he was not going to get that many, but if you make it 4 games, that is still 84. That is a huge loss of production.

Angus12 said:
I believe the opposite. #1 was the biggest loss, in a landslide. If we would have had Romo all year, it would have fixed #3. And also would have greatly diminished the sting of #2.

We had a pretty good running game even without Romo. The threat of the pass would have made it even better. And the WRs and TE production would have been significantly better without the likes of Cassel and Weeden under center, too.

Hostile said:
I know, and I respect why you feel this way. I simply disagree. I hope you can accept that.

It's ok, we can disagree. I don't need an apology. :)

Ha!

Good, because I didn't.

Just Heard That We Are Not Bringing Hardy Back
Hostile said:
Mincey will be back, we are going to look at FA (Ware), and probably the Draft as well.

Also, I'd put money on Carl Nassib being one of our picks. Rodzilla loves him.

Rodzilla?

Just Heard That We Are Not Bringing Hardy Back

Rodzilla?

Who the fuck is Rodzilla? Marinelli?

Is that an ultra secret nickname for Marinelli that nobody, save his secret source, has ever used?

Just Heard That We Are Not Bringing Hardy Back

Rodzilla?

He always follows Fisher wherever he goes in terms of "sources". There have been at least 3 other reporters with connections inside VR that are saying it's not a foregone conclusion that Hardy is gone.

Also, Rodzilla is a stupid nickname for an 80 yr old coach.

Dude.

It sounds so cool though.

For a real fucking square, combining the name and "zilla" really makes things intense.

I mean if you don't think Marinelli is the man, you put "zilla" with him?

He's like a fucking force to be reckoned with.

What do you want to bet that board adopts that nickname for him? Gotta follow the fat Pied Piper to the ends of the earth.

There is a guy talking about how we need to sign Hardy back because of our lack of passrush and depth at DE. There are a bunch of Hostile's cool aid crowd shouting him down about how Hostile has already said he won't be back. A couple pages of stupid back and forth about the domestic violence stuff, the supposed Garret disrespect, etc... Then the clouds opened up, and the board was given this.

Hostile said:
I cannot discuss this. I was asked not to. However, the late to meetings stuff and disrespect to Garrett is not the sum total of why he will not be back.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with his past DV issues. There was stuff going on that the team will not put up with. Nothing to do with the staff.

Please let Hardy go, because he is NOT coming back.

The peasants gobbled up this offering from above, begging for more. The original dissenter still was questioning why he won't be signed back. Stating that we NEED to sign him back...

Avenging Hayseed said:
Why did we sign the guy then? Is this team THAT out of the loop that we couldnt figure out he was a bad guy who wasnt worth the trouble before he got here? Nobody should be angry at what I say,.... they should be angry with the decision makers of our team who put us in this MESS by Signing Hardy and drafting Dufus, er I mean Gregory. :lol

Hostile said:
I already said it had nothing to do with his DV case.

Avenging Hayseed said:
I know. But didnt we do some kind of extensive background check to see if there were other issues? Maybe even have him take some head shrinker tests ? Who knows,.... maybe the guy likes to run around at night digging up graves and wearing womens dresses! :lol

Hostile said:
Happened while in Dallas. I am not at Liberty to reveal what it was. Tell me what background check predicts that, because every team will want that one.

I now hope that more than anything, that we sign Hardy back.

I cannot discuss this. I was asked not to. But I will do it anyway.

This morning, somebody posted in the off topic forum that they have started writing a column for their local small town newspaper.

About an hour ago on the main forum, this shows up...

I Think I Want To Get Back To Doing Regular Cowboys Articles

Why not JJ's house? La'el Collins' dining & signing party was pure genius.

Hostile said:
You know what, I think it was pure genius for a kid who was going through hell, close to his family and they wanted to portray the Cowboys as family.

However, this is Howie Long's kid. He's grown up with privilege and all the glitz. This is good strategy. And remember, when Jerry decides he wants somebody, the Devil himself couldn't stop him.

Getter done Jerrah!

Blind Zebra said:
I am guessing you will see Marinelli, Romo, Witten, and Lee going to that dinner.

America's Fan said:
Order dinner, tie him down and don't let him loose until he signs. We need Chris Long really bad!

Hostile said:
So, a friend of the Long family tells me he wants to sign here more than anywhere else.

I guess we shall see.

Amazing how so many family members of so many players in the NFL take the time to speak to Hos and fill him in on what's going on.

I wish I was that connected.

Myles Jack and The Cowboys
NeonDeion21 said:
Every once in awhile, I get some nuggets from the guys at VR. Most of the time, I don't share them to make sure I don't lose my source. However, I'll share this one.

You can cross Myles Jack off the Cowboys short-list at #4. They love his talent, but there are serious concerns about his knee and the longevity of his career. On top of that, they don't believe he will be able to play in 2016. I won't say why, but they don't believe he'll be ready at all for this year.

If you can, please let this just stay on this site.
This was posted an hour ago. Didn't Jack look pretty good at his pro day?
