The Coronavirus Thread...

Munchin is talking about a small business stimulus that they expect to be passed in the coming days. Any idea where I can find information on that?

Business has been fine, I would even say it’s been good, but it would be nice to know more about this in case shit hits the fan.
 
Absolutely no meat at my local grocery store for the past four days. Had to go to three different stores to find a couple boxes of spaghetti. Not good.

Do any of you guys have friends that own a restaurant? If they are decent people, they could probably order some shit for you.

We just ordered a bunch of shit for friends who are freaking out and just gave it to them at cost.

People are really showing how fucked up and selfish they really are. We went to the town market on Sunday to see what was left because we were going to offer to order shit for people in the community if they need stuff that’s sold out, and let me tell you, people are absolute savages.

Nobody needs a cart full of just canned goods and 12 dozen eggs.

If everyone was to relax and buy what they needed, there would be no shortage of food. The entire bread isle was bare, no eggs left, no potatoes, produce was pretty much picked over.

So incredibly selfish of people to hoard. We decided against putting a post out there because people who don’t need it would probably go crazy. We’ve just told a few people that have come in and mentioned not having certain things.

Current being a key word, as repeatedly stated this viruses characteristics make it very likely to overrun the healthcare system if contagion rate is not contained or slowed down, then you'll see mortality rates increase. Look at Italy. When Doctors have to decide who gets the ventilator to have a chance to survive... Shit has hit the fan.

I’m not interested in a loan. I’m notin need of any kind of help as we sit right now. But I want to know what’s out there if it turns into a ghost town over here.

That may or may not come about because there is no way to know what the evolution process will be in this country until there are some tangible systems to measure the progress such as testing. My grandson is working on some of this now at the Duke University Lab.
 
two people buy all the meat. time to bring back summary executions.

 
Just got back from picking up milk and a few other things from our local store. There wasn't a ton of meat but they were putting more out and had a bunch of employees restocking all over. The only thing still really bare was toilet paper but there was some available.

This isn't Venezuela, the stores will restock.
