The 70s & 80s Nostalgia Thread...

Exorcist for me also. I think it’s the only one, although the first Nightmare on Elm Street came close.

Nightmare on Elm Street would definitely be one for me.

Sometimes if you are freaked out by a movie you can escape it by going to sleep. Not Freddy!

My TV turned itself off twice a couple days ago. I am telling myself that the Amazon app was forcing it on for some unknown reason.

The TV in our living room occasionally turns itself back on after we have turned it off. It's weird.

Yeah that's actually what mine did. I type it wrong. Thanks Obama!
And ours only does it when we turn it off to go to bed. It never turns itself on any other time.

CSB TIME! Not that this is related but there was a 13 year old girl that committed suicide in this house about 8 years before we bought it. And, just to derail the thread even further we knew the little girl. She had sat in my lap before when she was much younger. It was my brother in law's girlfriend's daughter. I really loved this house when we looked at it (barn and everything) but it took some serious talking to convince my wife to buy it.

No way my wife would have gone for that. :lol

I got them three times for three cents when we moved a lot in the early 1980s. But I ain’t gonna lie, I sort of anticipated a goon to show up with a baseball bat and demand the full price for each.

I never did it although I was tempted.

Mine is a Sony and it's never done it before or in the few days since.
My wife affects electronics. I used to be skeptical when she and her dad always talked about it but there is just too many things that has happened for it to be a coincidence.

Its usually when she gets mad or frustrated so I tell her to go in the other room. Tell her to calm down (that makes it worse). Just hope that she doesnt zap pur TV or computers.
