After 6 long months out of the workplace, I have finally found a job.

Hallelujah!

Good pay, good benefits, and good environment.

I was starting to get worried there for a bit.

Congratulations. Still in Houston?

Congratulations. Still in Houston?

Yup.

I had started looking in Dallas and Austin because the market here right now is so bad.

There aren't a ton of jobs, and the ones you do find, they are lowballing like crazy because they know so many people are out of work here.

Luckily, I found a great opportunity that pays out accordingly. Funny thing is, I had a bad feeling about it and didn't even want to go to the interview.

Funny how things work out sometimes.

Congrats, man. Being out of work has to be some stressful shit.

Thanks man....and yes, it was stressing the shit out of me.

The first month or two was all fun and games. No getting up at 5:30 am! :towel

But then came the start of the new year and I was certain I'd get a job quickly as the new budgets opened up. But when that didn't happen and February started creeping up, I was sweating bullets.

All that money they gave me in my severance, and almost all gone now. I had enough to get me till May, but then I was screwed. Luckily this opportunity came through for me right in time.

Glad to hear you landed on your feet again. It is very stressful being unemployed even if you are given a severance package.

Is it just me or does the video game character Leisure Suit Larry look like Jimmy Neutron as an adult?

Wow, I had never noticed that. You are absolutely correct.

So, getting towards the end stages of closing on this house. I received an email today for some documents to e-sign. One of them was a Change of Circumstance. Reason given was "Loan has been locked". My first time doing this, so can someone tell me what that means?

Does that have to do with the rate? Usually the rate is in the contract. Maybe the rate is locked in? Dunno

Yeah, I was thinking maybe it meant I was locked into my interest rate.
