I called my ISP...we went through some troubleshooting, but I am not convinced my computer is jacked up. It is old and sucks...so I think it is the problem, not my internet service.
Nuttzy strikes again.

Ka-Pow-ie...
It's always the first step in troubleshooting.
Have you replaced your computer? Ok, call me back when you have and I can assist.
Carp, have you tried blowing into the computer's vents and opening the disc tray and blowing into there?
That used to work for my NES 25 years ago.
Let me know if that does the trick.
Sincerely,

The important thing is, do you feel better?I called my ISP...we went through some troubleshooting, but I am not convinced my computer is jacked up. It is old and sucks...so I think it is the problem, not my internet service.
I don't use my desktop that much...it is more of a conduit to my wireless devices and is storage for photos and music. I don't want to spend that much for a desktop though.
The important thing is, do you feel better?
Let me make a suggestion, go to best buy and pick up one of their $349 specials, then buy a $100 network hard drive, I have a western digital world book, its 1tb which would be plenty for music, videos, and pictures, and I can access it anywhere I have teh intrawebs. Your desktop just acts as a hub anyways, its not like you are multi tasking on it. Besides, the computer you buy today for $349 will be 10 times better than the computer you spent $800 on 5 years ago.
