Oh, but we are getting chickens. Lubbock just passed an ordinance that allows for 6 hens to be owned inside the city limits, just no roosters. I love fresh eggs. Soon as I get a chicken coop built, it's on.

I fertilized mine too and the rain has been helpful in that regard. Best looking yard I've had since 2013.

We didn't get hit as hard as the rest of the state with the rain. Its really strange because I live between Waco and Austin which were slammed. I'm in Georgia and then Orlando for the week so stay dry guys.

I have room over on the garden side of my back yard. Hopefully the dog gets along with them so I can let them out in the yard during the day so he can protect them from cats. Not having a rooster sucks but I can understand why they did it.

I put together some supplies (really just water, food and baby stuff) in case we have to hunker down. I have been on edge about the weather since that night I mentioned a while back. I've pretty much had enough of this shit.

Yea, I'm tired of this shit too.

It's not supposed to be devastating storm or whatever, but flooding is pretty much inevitable. Since I live up north, I told my parents who live out in Clear Lake to come stay with me tomorrow night because the loss of power or whatever should be less up here.

After going without power for 4 days during the ice storm a couple of years back I got a generator and had the bypass hookup wired into my fusebox last year. I haven't had to use it yet but feel alot better knowing it's there.

It's a dual fuel, uses either gas or propane/NG. It's a Champion 7000w I got on sale from costco, paid around $750 for it and then the fusebox switch where it plugs in was another $300 installed(by a friend)
