Test...

You spelled genius wrong.

Galaxy3 owners are you having this problem with your phone?

I place my phone on mute our vibrate and someone calls me my s voice launches and chimes then it proceeds to go through some voice commands. Basically defeating the purpose of me placing the phone on silence.

It does this every single time and its annoying as hell especially when I'm in the middle of a meeting.

Hello, and welcome to the Tech Support thread.

Before proceeding we'll need a little more information.

How long have you owned this phone?

Has there been any water damage?

Are you on a data plan?

Do you have any nudie pics that could be of interest to a 3rd party? If so, we'll kindly ask you to forward those pics to us here at the Test Thread.

In short, pics or GTFO.

Chunk is a description of something. Like your belly. To chunk something is to break it off or to make it fat. To chuck is to throw. You chuck rocks at the neighbors dog, you don't chunk them.

I don't want to have to tell you this again.

We should chunk his dog and then chuck it back to him.

You know, kinda draw him a picture to make it sink in.

Didn't want to call you out in the public forum, Unk... but it's Bradie Bottle Lock.

Tom Brady had nothing to do with this.

I salute you, Mr. "I'm not afraid to say something" Guy.

It irritates the shit out of me when people don't speak up, but just people get away with silly shit like that.

Mad Propers
I probably would have let her have had she not been a liar.

And old and a woman and handicapped to some degree.

It was a perfect storm.

I don't mind this, but it drives me mad when someone says "chunk" instead.

I think it's a Texas thing. I just thought the first guy I heard say "chunk" instead of "chuck" was retarded but it turns out that's common usage for some reason. Most instances involv a fairly heavy twang.

I damn near got in a fight with some dude at an outdoor music venue who thought he could just stroll past the line of people waiting on port-a-potties. Pretty sure he was banking on people being meek and not saying anything about it. I called him out and it got pretty heated. Thought I was going to have to defend myself at one point after I called him a jackass and he bristled, but he apologized and offered to buy me a beer a few minutes later. Pussy.

It's also a Georgia thang, so not sure where it started.

What can be done to prevent it?

I tell my wife at least once a week that she sounds retarded for saying chunk when she's talking about throwing something, but she is stubborn and needs to be beaten.

She also pronounces tortilla just like it's spelled, so I always get a chuckle when she orders Case-a-dill-as with spinach tor-till-as.

Some folks are beyond help, and I'm afraid this might be the case with the mother of my children.

There aren't enough of us.

I'm not liking the tone of the test thread over the last hour or so. I feel like someone is to blame. But, as a good agnostic boy I will refrain from judging.

So, what you're saying is Texans are retarded?

Ok. I'll go with that.

:art

I probably laughed a bit more than is proper at this post.

I kid. I don't want to get Iamtdg (and others) whipped into a big Texas pride frenzy. I've been here a long time now and am currently raising two native Texans. I'm a born and raised midwesterner though so I can still poke a little fun at some of the little cultural differences.

We are in a very similar situation.

The one thing I've always wondered, though, is are we awesome because we're from the great state or smart because we got the F out?
