Skid and Unc have been out quite a bit of money to get us to where we are. This is just a way to handle sustainability of the day to day operations.

I don't remember there being anyone that said that there would never be a time that donations weren't asked for.

Our monthly fee for hosting is pretty minimal, so a little bit from our regs should easily take us months down the road.

BTW, this isn't a donation plea, I was just responding to the post from Kenneth. The owners can actually ask for money if they feel it's that necessary. From my understanding, the donation button was put in place as a convenience as much as anything.

Sorry, I didn't understand what you meant. New banner, professionally installed. Got our old domain name back (wasn't cheap). And, the host charges up until this point.
 
This donation talk simply won't be tolerated in the Test thread.

Last weekend was wrecked by a monster barbed-head turd that took several sittings to pass.

I won't put up with the same this weekend.

Like cotton said, we bought the site, bought a skin and had it professionally installed, bought a logo and paid for hosting. It's not cheap.

I'm not complaining at all because we actually volunteered to do this. So no guilt whatsoever. If you'd like to know any further details feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to answer any questions. If you are unable to or don't want to give then that is fine. If you do or you can it would be appreciated. Our goal is to simply make the side support itself. In my opinion there wasn't much worth giving to before. So it was our goal to make it donation was he at some point. I don't think it's that much to ask people to at least help and support itself.

Not tension from me, Khalid. I just didn't want NoDak thinking that a) we don't spend money b) we are being scammy/spammy c) we want to guilt people into donating

People get very touchy about donations, so I was trying to explain things without being douchey.

Bottom line, things cost money. Somebody has to pay for it. That's all.

Every once in a while Jeebs pops off with some wisdom that makes totally sense.

I don't know, non of the previous regimes would be open about dollars here at this place, so I thought I'd change that. People get all weird when you mention money, so I guess it's not for everyone. Personally I felt like in the past that there was some big secret and I would have preferred to know. I was trying to be transparent but I guess it comes off as something else here. My bad.
