I'm a little curious as to exactly how this came up in conversation.
Probably was talking to a bed pan orderly.

I would be able to understand where you're coming from but you're asking this in the test thread of all places. My life is basically like the test thread.
Serious question for anyone, but @L.T. Fan especially since he's had decades as an adult...
Which decade do you think the average white male was happiest?
Would you trade all the make-your-life-technology of today for the simplicity/neighborly of yesteryear? Can you pinpoint a moment when it went right/wrong?
Put the swords and shields down. It's not a negative/anti-white reason. Being serious here, I don't have a white grandfather. I ask him this question and it's colored (/Boberts pun) by his experiences as an immigrant. I ask a woman or gay person and it's civil rights this and that.
Just want to hear the perspective from an older, white male his perspective. This does include stuff like the MLK civil rights movement and hippies, etc, as that might've been a hot topic of everyday life at that time. Even for today, as a white male, part of the answer would incorporate the social media inferno, BLM, gay wedding cakes and transgender bathrooms. Though LT Fan doesn't identify with those categories, it does affect the complexity of being a white male.
We can order Amazon Prime and have shit delivered tomorrow vs a 2 hr trip to store, emails vs snail mail, smart phones. Knowing your neighbor, milkman, grocer vs the facelessness of today. Did the average person worry about death more during the Korean, Vietnam War versus the 15 year war we've had in the a Middle East. You don't hear about people today building Cold War bunkers deep in their basements anymore. Gun violence, ROI of college education, career opportunities, trust in government, worried about appearances (anorexia, Botox), etc.
For as 'advanced' as we've become, are we happier?
Your questions will take a little time to reflect and compose but I will give you my perspective. Give me a little time.
Take it to the social research thread, asswipes.
Patty is GOAT, but I like a link every now and then to spice things up
You sure you have it...?
Fuckin A.
Best type of sausage, patty or link?

Since you've brought it up, though, there's no better sausage than Jimmy Dean Maple.
Makes the best biscuit gravy. Word to yer mom.
But damn it, I like links as well.
Not gonna apologize for it, by god.
