Spring League Thread...

Only $48k a year on a standard? How the hell are they going to be able to retain players?

No shit. If I were a player with a remote chance of making a camp, I don't risk injury for that.

I'm actually looking forward to the XFL season kicking off.

I have looked for XFL games last year but didn’t find any games. Who carries them and when is their season?

Some interesting rule changes they intend to go with.

This is like a basketball league trying to compete with the NBA by hanging a hoop extra high in the air and calling it 10 points. It's just silly.

I like it. It's something different.

It sounds like something that should be featured in an MTV style Rock n Jock game. Fun to watch but probably not something that will make them sustainable. It's just too different.

I like the fact that they aren't trying to carbon copy the NFL, and both of those rule changes change the entire dynamic of a close game. I like it.

I like the elimination of the extra point, but not so much the 3-point conversion. The one and two-point conversion are enough.

The punt rule with 35-yard start is interesting. I think I like it.
