Spring League Thread...



i think a couple of these guys have played in every spring league since the reboot. Perez for sure.
 
Stupid. Imagine losing yards on purpose for an extra point... or players falling down on purpose like they do before the goal line.

60 yarders are becoming routine. Maybe make 40 and under worth two points?

There's something fundamentally wrong with getting fewer points for getting closer to the opponent's goalline.

If this really has to be a thing, maybe narrow the goal posts... Or even make the snap shorter so the kicker has to kick the ball more up in the air instead of driving it so much.

It does demonstrate that they are positioning to be a test ground.

The ability of kickers to hit these long kicks should be interesting to the League if it keeps trending the way it is.

When will they give up on this? The best hope was becoming a farm system for the NFL. Who the fuck wants to watch the Des Moine Shitpackers vs the San Antonio Dickbags during Spring Break?

Yeah, seriously, who? Though it has been 24 years.

Austin (good luck getting the Cowboys to agree) and Columbus basically have two professional college teams, so the short list is prolly San Antonio, Portland, Salt Lake City, or St Louis, as each has at least one proven pro franchise.

If it's two more teams, an expansion draft would prolly allow a team to lose three players max and with zero cap ramifications.

Last two times it has been cities in Cleveland and Houston that lost their previous teams to other cities. So maybe St Louis is one of them?

Talent would certainly be a lot more diluted for a while and would take years to recover to today's levels.

St. Louis would be one. The Battlehawks franchise seems to be stable.
