Soccer Thread

Sucks to read about Klinsmann. I really liked what he was building and infusing young American talent into legit Euro leagues for better experience instead of resting on playing crap in MLS. Hopefully they don't blow it and hire some scrub who causes us to revert to poor play.

Wondering why I haven't heard anything about it, went to check on who's in the round-robin Group with us.....now I know why.[/FONT]

Lots of real talent on this team.

Will be interesting to see how they do in the next one especially with it being at home.

They were so damn sloppy with the ball at midfield today. It was frustrating.
 


WTF???? Almost half a billion for a couple of years???
 
The World Cup matches today have been great. In both games a team has scored the game tying goal with only a few minutes to spare.

Croatia snuck up and bit Brazil with a late goal to force PKs. Then went on to win on PKs.

And the Netherlands were about 2 minutes away from elimination before they scored the tying goal to send it into extra time.

RIP.

I remember when I went through my brief soccer period when I was around nine, that was the name you knew.

I really haven't been interested in the sport enough to really notice who the legends have been since.
