I heard you're a big fan?

I'm really curious what our total "formals" is at this point because we have to be close to the limit. I wonder if we can do a formal and just call it an informal because it certainly feels like the list of names this year is longer than previous years.

I’d have no problem with a first round corner. Ideally at 20 if there is no trade down.

Yep. I'm even ok with it at 12. If Styles, Downs, Bain, Bailey, and Reese are all gone, but Delane is available at 12? I'm probably taking Delane and I'm pretty happy about it. I'm certainly not taking Love, or an OT or WR over him.

Yea just assuming we can trade down is a fool's errand, we all know there's lots of moving parts to it and it's not always realistic.

Literally everybody would be happy trading down 5 spots and adding a 2, talking about how we should do that isn't interesting to me.

What's more interesting is figuring out what sort of decision we should make if we aren't able to move down and the board doesn't have many options.

I'd be very happy with Delane at 12 in that scenario.

RB was a deep class last year. So we waited until the 5th round and ended up with Blue.

Sure glad we waited.
Yeah, I'm really hoping they don't think (like they usually do) that ILB is really deep so we'll just wait on that.

Then we don't get anyone until the fourth and that guy is another Loofah.

How about getting one of the better guys in a good class? Is there something wrong with that?

I think that's why free agency is so important. I'm pretty sure I can get 2 starters with 2 first round picks. But we can't count on getting 3 or 4 starters in the draft. Which means we need to actually do something in free agency.

Loofah was a third rounder.

Makes it sting even more. But there were starting caliber players available in the third round that year. It was a bad pick and an over draft. So what I really say is scout better, evaluate better and draft better. There will be NFL starters out of day three of this draft. But you don't want to be stuck finding a certain position at the same time. It's hard enough to find those players, it's that much harder when you say it must be a LBer, RB, Safety, Corner, pass rusher or whatever.

He is an interesting player…one of the better RAC guys in this draft.
