It's long overdue we have a thread for this. It sucks that there is such widespread corruption that this topic even warrants its own thread, but here we are.

It's not ignorance, it's just complicated.

There are a few instances federal judges could have jurisdiction, one of which is if there's a constitutional question.

So for example a state could pass a law saying that residents of the state no longer have freedom of speech. Federal courts would overturn that.

And, it's a federal matter because of the DOE funding. Gotcha. That makes sense. But, I have a simple solution. Get rid of the DOE.
 
And, in case anyone was wondering what I meant, Universities get federal money, too. And (I have no idea why) that funding gets funneled through the DOE.
