What is a "sex-based statement"?

And yeah, it's "governor" because it can't be "owner" anymore. :doh

At the risk of triggering you, I'll let you know.

Apparently NBA players decided a few years ago that the term owners was a tad racist.....as if the owners actually owned said players like a slave (I know, stupid). So they lobbied for the league to start using a different term, so I guess they landed on 'governor'.

I seem to remember Draymond Green being vocal about this. I'm not sure if he was the originator.

I remember that was Draymond Green's suggestion during the 2020 Summer of Love.

This is the first I've actually seen it used, but then I don't keep up with the NBA much anymore.

What about the owners of restaurants and bars and hotels and other professional sports teams ... are their employees slaves?

My god that's dumb.
 


There has got to more to this story. No way he gets a year suspension for a consensual relationship, right?

Yeah this seems insane unless there is more to it. I mean I don't see a problem with a coach dating someone else that works for the company. WGAS

Now maybe they lied about it or something and it pissed people off. I'm not sure, but on the surface this is just dumb.

I mean, how does one have a non consensual relationship? I can get inappropriate non consensual advances, touching and such. But if you're in a relationship, not sure how that can be nonconsenual.

Also I thought I heard this morning that the staffer was married. I could be wrong, but sounds like there is a whole lot more drama to this thing.

I'm going to need to see pictures.
