Yeah. Simmons had to go. And people around the league knew it. Frankly, I’m surprised they got as much as they did for him. He was never suiting up for the Sixers again.

And honestly they're better off with Harden than Simmons, or at least no worse.

If your takeaway is that Harden isn't clutch or isn't elite or whatever you guys are saying, you've missed the point entirely. That's not why he's in Philly.

I understand the reasoning behind the trade. It just sucks for yall that it had to be Harden. He was a joke "superstar" in the past and just going to get worse as he ages. He is just a tease for the fanbase.

Again, I'm indifferent on the outcome and probably lean slightly toward Dallas if anything, but I'd be shocked if Phoenix doesn't win game 7 at home, and likely in blowout fashion.

Game 7 can do weird things to a team's mindset though.

The Embiid/Harden are the new Kobe/Shaq comments were flying around left and right after their first 2 or 3 games together. :lol

The point about Harden is he quits when his back is against the wall and when he doesn't get his way.

No one is expecting him to be the MVP version of himself anymore, but he should at least still be a good "Robin".

The guy took 2 damn shots in the 2nd half of a win or go home game. If he'd have gone out there and shot 6-20 it wouldn't be a big deal because you can just chalk it up as a bad game and can make the argument that he at least went down fighting. But the way Harden just lays down and quits like he did last night is sickening.

I wouldn't want the guy on my team. I don't think Embiid wants him there either.

The funny thing is it didn't have to be Harden. NBA insiders have been pointing out all day that there were other teams interested in Simmons but Morey (Sixers GM) has such a huge boner for Harden that he was hell bent on waiting out the Nets.

No. A couple people maybe. Certainly not "most", as you claimed.

This season is over for the Sixers, but now they have an offseason to build around these players. Let's not write the Embiid/Harden epitaph just yet. They're good players and a good fit together. We'll see what they can build.

Who else? McCollum? An injured Beal? Injured Lillard? Come on now. Yes, this was the best option.

And Harden is absolutely a good player so what are we doing right now?

There certainly were more than a "couple people".

I can only assume that you don't use Twitter and didn't see it. Also a lot of talking heads on ESPN were crowning them early....even the respectable ones like Wilbon & Kornheiser.
