Derrick Rose Out For Season After Undergoing Knee Surgery

Derrick Rose is out for the rest of the 13-14 NBA season after undergoing surgery to repair the torn medial meniscus in his right knee.

Rose and the Chicago Bulls are taking the more cautious approach to repair the knee.

Rose missed the entire 12-13 season recovering from a torn ACL suffered in the 2012 NBA Playoffs.

Mother. Fucker.

They'll makes the playoffs and rally behind your coach.

They'll still finds a way...I can't see Thibs letting a tank happen.

Yea anything could happen in the East but I don't think you guys realize just how bad Marquis Teague is, if injury prone Hinrich goes down for any length of time we really might not win one single game while he's out.

True, no Nate Robinson or even Marco Belinelli to bail you out this year.

I don't have high expectations, I'm not sitting here rooting for Wiggins, but if we can get like the 12th and 15th pick and get two of say, Gary Harris, Wayne Selden, Noah Vonleh, Aaron Gordon, Andrew Harrison or Glenn Robinson, I'd be more than happy.

I'd like to find a taker for Deng and for Boozer.

If you ditch those guys, it's just gonna be hard for the team to score. You could end up in the lottery based on that alone.

I think the Rockets would be interested in Boozer if his salary wasn't so high.

Nope

Does not fit, his game is all mid range so he does nothing for spacing, and he is a minus defender add in the fact that T Jones is putting up comparable numbers with a more upside and I would not take him with a lesser contract.

As much love as Parker, Randle, and Wiggins get I think Smart could turn out to be the best pro. He looks like a guy who can just take over games.

You guys might think I'm purely out of my mind, and it's quite possible, but this guy Joel Embiid might be the most rare athlete in the draft considering his size. He's extremely raw but if he gets with the right coach/team he has the potential to be the best center in the league, better than Dwight Howard.

On the other hand he could flat out bust too but assuming the guy isn't a complete lump who takes the money and runs, his worst case scenario should be Roy Hibbert.

Embiid does look good, but today's game is won by the swing players.

That's just because the best center in the league hasn't learned any post moves despite being in the league for a decade and the majority of the other big men grew up wanting to be Jordan or LeBron.

Put prime Duncan or Olajuwon in the league now and I'd take them over anybody not named LeBron, and I could make a solid argument for either of them over LeBron. Hell, at 35 or whatever Duncan was the best player on a team that basically won the Finals last year.

Not to say Embiid will be that obviously but I wouldn't say swing players are what wins today, it's just that the talent is concentrated there right now.

Your argument was valid a decade ago. The league has been ruled by Lebron, Wade, Pierce...Duncan is a dying breed. It absolutely is ruled by swing men...more 1-3s.

Simps right. As soon as a dominant big shows up, he'll win tons of games and championships. The style of the game moves where the talent is and right now it's the backcourt.
