I've barely mentioned Rose in months but thanks for the thought.
I see...so you were just trying to squash the discussion. Props.

Basically, because I don't think who can win a game of 1 on 1 means much of anything as to who the better player is within a team concept.

That article that Ace posted about Jordan is stunning by the way.
If you replace Lebron with Jordan on that 2011 Heat team, do the Mavs still win the finals?
If you replace Jordan with Lebron on any of those 6 championship teams, do the Bulls still win? Probably.

Probably not, LeBron and Pippen are too similar in their styles of play, they might not even make it past the Knicks to the Finals some of those years.
Jordan could adapt his game though and I think with an early to mid 90's Jordan the Heat would've beaten the Mavs that year.

I also find it highly amusing that despite Jordan's greatness on the court and his burning competitive spirit, he just can't build a team or identify talent to save his natural born life. That should come in handy in a few years when the Bulls get a lottery pick from the Bobcats right in the middle of Rose's peak.
That's what we were discussing in here just a few days ago.
Being a great player doesn't mean you'll be a great GM, but how can someone be so great as a player and be so bad as evaluating talent? MJ is nothing short of awful as a talent guy.
I liken Lebron to Elway...he got his teams to a Super Bowl many times when they had no real business being there. Now he has help, like Elway got from Shanahan and Davis, he then won his titles.
That's true.
Cleveland also went from 61 to 19 wins the year after he left, so that shows how important he was to that team.
