By the way am I the only one that remembers that Kobe asked for a trade out of LA because he was frustrated with their roster building at the time?

What LeBron has done for the better part of two decades now is significantly different from asking for a trade once upon a time.

But yes, he did ask for a trade around 2006-07ish and almost got traded to Chicago.

The point is Kobe said people shouldn't take the easy route but he was perfectly willing to do that if the Lakers didn't accommodate him with the roster he wanted.

No doubt LeBron did that perhaps most egregiously of all time. But Kobe was being a bit hypocritical there if the Lakers didn't give him what he wanted he was essentially going to do the same thing.
