Knueppel might win ROY because Charlotte is a feel good story and Flagg has missed a chunk of time, but nobody in the world would take Knueppel over Flagg as individual players.

Knueppel will probably make a few All Star games, Flagg will be a generation defining player.

If Knueppel gets it over Flagg the NBA is truly broken.
 
Sounds like most of the media members with votes are going Knueppel because they're placing a lot of vale on his contributions to a winning squad.

I get that.

Kind of like how the best player in the sport doesn't always win MVP. Which is why Jordan and LeBron only have 9 MVPs between them.

But MVP is often viewed as a guy who provides the most value but I don't remember Rookie of the Year normally being viewed that way but rather more so just the best player.

I will say though that we should be wary in general of the best player on a bad team. Even bad teams get 100 points a game. Somebody has to get those stats.

I'd still probably give it to Flagg though. But I don't think it should be a slam dunk.

Holy shit. Just got home from work and saw the Sixers went into Boston and won game seven?!? Holy shit. Who bet Vegas that they would take THREE games in Boston? Especially after Embiid was late to the series after coming off of an appendectomy? After being down 3 games to 1? First time the Sixers have beat Boston in a playoff series since 1982.

Oh... and Boston WAS 32-0 all time when holding a 3-1 series edge. :towel

Sixers were 3-1 in the series with Embiid. I don't think it would even have gone to 7 if he was healthy the whole series.

The frustrating part is that the Celtics are Brown, Tatum, and a bunch of goofy white guys.
