That Kidd news is surprising. I thought he'd be safe considering the injuries and roster upheaval he's had to deal with the past 2 seasons.

Jamahl Mosely (former Magic coach who just took the Pelicans job yesterday) is probably kicking himself that he missed out on the Mavs job.

This is probably be the best job opening this offseason. Orlando is still open but they have some bad contracts that are going to handcuff them the next few years.

They're also just not that good.

Better than the Cavs, sure, but it wouldn't be surprising if they won some poorly played slop fest of a series, similar to basically every other series so far in the East.

On Kidd, I never understood why he was hired in the first place. Well I do here, because Cuban loved him with the feel-good tie to the title year. But the guy has never been a good coach. I don't see how he got a second job, much less a third one. I haven't been a Mavs fan for decades now, but good riddance.
