It was very very dumb, but I still say Charles Barkley in his prime for Jeff Hornacek, Tim Perry and Andrew Lang is worse. Horrific return for a HOFer in his prime.

At least the Mavs received Anthony Davis and a first.

We had him at the end of his career and enjoyed his play with Houston. Not only was he a great player but The Round Mound of Rebound is still one of my favorite nicknames.

One of the all time great nicknames.
 
Young Barkley was one of the most fun players ever. That highlight where he dribbles pretty much full lengh and slams it with both hands is one of the greatest of all time.
 
Not to rub salt in the Mavericks wounds but trading Quentin Grimes and a 2nd for Caleb Martin was also pretty dumb. I don't know what they were smoking last year.

Grimes is looking very nice so far this year. Fits in great in that 3 man guard rotation with Maxey and VJ.

A big deal is made now about how PF's can take players off the dribble or shoot fadeaways and step back jumpers and yet Barkley was doing all that and dominating in the post in his prime.
