Might as well get used to it. They are going to be good for while and we have old players and bad contracts.

The Rangers are about where the Astros were post-WS appearance. It's kind of the fruits of living in the "win now" window.

Blowing it all up for prospects is anathema to some fans and most baseball writers, but I can tell you that the years of being horrid feel worth it now. This team may not win a ring, or they may win four, but it's just fun to have a top team again.

Good times indeed.

If Porcello and Price could get their heads out of their asses, we might find ourselves in the World Series.

As an aside, pretty damn impressive how the NL West has three 50-win teams.

As well as the Red Sox are playing now, their record would still only be good enough for fourth in that division.

Crazy.
 
I think this is who Porcello is and just had an anomaly last year. I've never been impressed with him.

Create space? The Rays are catching up. 5 games out of 1st and tied for the 2nd WC spot currently, but that's after playing some really good ball the last month.

Surprising considering Kevin Cash is still the manager.

By having the 2 guys tied for 4th in the league in HRs not in it while some hack with half their their numbers gets the call because he plays for the Yankees?
