I agree with the call of the Rangers getting the run...Choo was not oit over the plate and regardless if they called time there..was no way they were getting him.

It was the right call. I'm sure in the umpire meeting that was discussed and thrown out since by rule it was a live ball.

Fair enough. The rest of the playoffs have gone nicely. I could deal with a little GFYing, I guess.

I will actually being doing the PA at my sons football game tonight...so I will miss a big portion of the game.

That message was a response to Houston Mascot running a flag around saying "Come and Take it" before one of the Houston/Texas series earlier in the year.

Did not know this, I guess the retort was warranted.

Disappointing ending to a fun season. It'll be weird going into a season with high expectations next year.

Everything after winning against the Yankees was gravy IMO.

The biggest weaknesses in the team were what ultimately did us in, too many holes in the lineup and middle relief.

I am still amazed we got this far with so many people hitting below 250.:lol

I am trying to convince myself that as well, but now that we are here I want to win. Just winning a couple games, etc...not good enough. Baseball is a fickle bitch.

I didn't know it either when I saw the ranger message at first. Then saw an article and figured you hadn't seen it either.

The next several years should be fun. I think both teams will be competing for the AL West title for several years.

You have a much deeper pitching staff and more reliable veteran hitters in the lineup.

I would be more disappointed if the team was not so young.

Yep.

Sorry, Ed. You may not want me to pull for the Cubs.

Feh. Not worried about your history of heartbreak as a fan. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen regardless. You are welcomed as a temporary Cubs fan.

Same. When the Cubs beat the Pirates I was like Well, they at least have a chance to play a series. Everything is gravy at this point because they weren't even supposed to be in this position for another couple years. Then I was like, no...they have to beat the hated Cardinals. Then anything beyond that would be gravy, I was thinking.

Wrong again. :lol Now that they are in the NLCS and this damn close there is no more gravy. At this point I'm all

I'm pulling for the Cubbies too.

Maybe I can bring you some luck since I saw my team's dreaded curse come to an end. Hopefully I can see yours come to an end too.

:buddy

The Cubs have Harry Caray and Marty McFly on their side. It's destiny.

Yea, they did predict the Cubs would win this in BTTF 2. It was against Miami, but that's just a minor detail.

The thing about you guys is that you slayed your dragon to get to the NLCS. I'd say it is like the Bulls finally beating the Pistons. If we play you I hope a sense of complacency washes over the team.

Also, I will instantly hate Joe Maddon when he is coaching against the Mets.

Awesome! Go Cubs!

Lol. The mention of the Back to the Future movie and the word destiny makes me think of George and his pathetic speech to Loraine.
