I like the way Banny is playing this. Diekman dominated them in the 7th. Bring him out in the 8th and he dominated again. Saves Dyson for the 9th and gives Tolleson one more day of rest after pitching like 5 games in a row last week.

It would be kind of cool to see a Rangers v. Astros showdown in the ALCS. It would do a lot to legitimize an interstate (intrastate?) rivalry.

I think that's our only hope. I don't see us scoring more than 2 runs in this game.

If the Cubs beat the Cardinals in the playoff it will be an all-timer sports moment for me. Right up there with Cowboys Super Bowl wins, even though it isn't the NLDS, let alone the World Series. There is just such a rivalry there, even if it is probably mostly just with the fans. It would be amazing to send them and their "Cardinal Way" packing.
