You know who's neither Jake Odorizzi or Nick Martinez?

Anthony Ranaudo.

Don't be jealous. We also have a 300 lb singles hitter that's hitting right now., too. At least its not back to back days of Detwiler-Ranaudo.

Report: Cubs Will Activate Kris Bryant On Friday
By Josh Timmers
@Cubsminorswrap on Apr 16, 2015, 8:50p

If a report from Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicago is correct, then third baseman Kris Bryant will make his Cubs debut tomorrow, Friday April 17. Tomorrow is the soonest that Bryant could be activated in order for the Cubs were to gain an extra year of control before free agency. Bryant played in a New Orleans tonight and hit a tremendous home run (that may have been called foul if the minors had replay review) and was robbed of another one by a leaping catch.

Calling up Bryant now breaks with Theo Epstein's practice of having prospects make their major league debut on the road, but Olt's injury may have forced a course correction. This also means that the Iowa fans will not get a chance to see Bryant at home this season, since Iowa's home opener is tomorrow. Bryant did play half a season in Des Moines last year.

The Cubs will take on the San Diego Padres and James Shields tomorrow at 1:20 pm. The game will be on WLS-7. Stay tuned

Kris Bryant is currently 0-3 with 3 k's in his debut. One fan yells "YOU SUCK!" to be easily heard on the tv. :lol

The Mets get on a roll and Carp disappears.

WTF.

Coincidence?

J/k. I almost did start up a Harvey discussion just because it felt empty in this thread.

Tonight for the Cubs: Arrieta 7 IP 4 H 0 BB 7 SO 1 ER; Soler 4-5 2 R; Bryant 3-4 1 R 1 BB 3 RBI; Rizzo 2-3 1 BB 1 R, Castro 2-4

:cabbagepatch

Man, this team has a chance to really do something & soon. I don't see them making the postseason this year but they should be in great shape to make a run at at least a wildcard next year.

Holy shit they just called up Addison Russell too?!

OMFG :hawfap

:towel

:mj

:excellent

Nick Martinez - 8 starts in a row giving up 2 runs or less.

Have to say it looks like I was wrong about this guy. He's not flashy. Just effective.

.45 ERA

He's about the only bright spot.

Well, except for Fielder.

Little miracles. I will take them.

Detwiler to the pen.

Miracle may have been taken away. Evan Grant is now saying not to the pen but is getting extra work until the 28th when we need a fifth starter.
