MLB Chatter Thread

The funny thing is I definitely remember guys like Pedro and Maddux throwing absolute gems getting those same calls. We just didn't make that big of a deal about it, as it was considered just part of the game.

As long as the umps are consistent with their version of the strike zone, I'm fine with the strike zone variances.
I would agree with this. As long as it's fair and consistent, I'm ok with giving them something just off the plate. A control pitcher that can consistently hit his spots is fine. And that ump will gain a rep of giving a pitch just off the corner.

It's when the strike zone is a moving entity, or when they call shit that is well off the plate that bugs me. Especially if it's one sided or hit and miss throughout the game.

Side note, I miss Steve Busby so much. The current PbP guy is awful. Doesn't even sound like he's a baseball guy, like he doesn't understand the game. Amirite, @Rev?

I dont have a way to watch them anymore.

The city connect uniforms are trash. I have yet to see a decent one.

Absolutely HATE the Twins'.
What's sad is, those might be one of the better ones.

Twins on a 12 win streak, and just lost both Correa and Buxton to the concussion IL after a pretty bad collision chasing down a shallow fly to center. :sad

13 straight wins. 3 straight shutouts. 33 straight scoreless innings.

:fistpump

he might be one of those "I got my bag, now I don't give a shit" kind of guys

Soto is actually still kinda playing well, it’s just not Soto in NY Yankees last year level.

He’s having a down year but not ultimately that worried.
