So weird

Because they were never far ahead, right? Due to the dead bats again.

I would really like to be optimistic about the offseason but not sure where the money is going to come from. The owner didnt want to go over the tax threshold until the trade deadline where it looked like they were going on a run. Now they face penalties for going over for 3 straight years.

From what I've been reading geographical realignment is coming and this seems logical to me.

As a fan I always hated the west coast trips so not having as many would be nice.

Same, but there's too much tradition in baseball to mix the leagues up like this.

They have already watered it down with the interleague play. Might as well be logical with it as well.

I think all leagues should go the

No NL vs. AL until the World Series
No AFC vs NFC until the Superbowl
No Eastern Conference vs Western confernce until the NBA Finals.

I think it would be fun.

They already raped tradition with the NL using the DH, interleague play, the abomination of starting a runner on 2nd in extras, etc...
For sure, but that doesn't mean you have to keep going even further in that direction.

The division rivalries are secondary to me. I care more about the actual game itself being pillaged.
Same. In addition to what you listed, I will add pitch clock and the idea of robo umps. Leave the fucking game alone.

I personally don't care about the division games so much -- I wish the Rangers could be in the central for travel/time zone reasons -- but I do think the traditional league rivalries are important.

I hate the stuff you're talking about too, though. I even think the auto intentional walk is terrible.

I saw someone who had a really good thought regarding why a realignment like this isn't realistic.

Putting all the major markets in essentially 1 or 2 divisions essentially guarantees that several major markets will be missing the postseason every year.
