Yep. The "Show Me" Series. A friend of mine that lives in a St. Louis 'burb called me the other day and was outright giddy about the idea of another one. Damn Cardinal fans. The jealousy fuels my hatred! As long as KC wins again, it would be kind of cool to have an interstate rivalry WS part II I guess.
 
Good results for Appel in the AFL today, Astros fans. Has to be good to see because he's been kind of a mess so far.
 
I love what the Royals are doing...and this new era of pitching and defense, I think you really see that the game is once again wide open and not just a big market game. Certainly teams with a bigger budget have an advantage, but it is not about buying the big bat or big arm anymore...it is about multiple arms and multiple bats.
 
Props to the Royals. They are flat out hot right now. I just hope they don't cool off too much with the layoff while waiting on the NL.
 
I want whoever comes out of the AL to win the Series.

I'm tired of both the Giants and Cardinals. Seems like those two teams basically rotate winning the NL pennant yearly. 7 times in the last 12 years, the NL team has been SF or St.Louis... enough already.

Umm You do know the Royals won and are going to the World Series before you posted this?
 
Put Bruce Bochy in the HOF now.

What he has done in SF is nothing short of the greatest managerial job of all time.

Him and Kevin Long have been mentioned. Magadan has been getting quite a bit of interest.

He had some tough breaks at Texas. First the enclosed part of the stadium nullifying the jet stream and then losing all his offense to injury.
 
This had better be the last start that Shields sees this postseason.
