McCarthy Gone - Now the search is on - Schottenheimer Hired

Has there been some actual reporting of interest in Witten as coach, or is this all just fan speculation?

No mostly just because of McCarthy and them wanting to place him on his staff as the future head coach.

But that's what I'm asking. Has it actually been reported that Witten would be coming in as the future head coach? Or even coming in at all? Or just speculation by a panicking fan base?

I haven't read anything about the Witten thing being a holdup or even mentioned in regards to McCarthy. Other than from guys here.
 
Remember when there was the small hope that Jerry Jones, fearing his own mortality, would make one last run at it and truly go "all in"?

Well, we now see that all he wants now is familiarity and comfort, all while clutching coins close to his chest that he can pass down to his idiotic family.

I think it was Slater who first said that was a problem with Mike, that Jerry wanted him to accept Jason as an heir apparent.

So it has been reported, but I'm with you in that I wonder how serious it really is.

Listening to some Fan podcast segments and it's funny, they were all outraged at the Schottenheimer possibility at first, especially Shariff, but they went back and listened to some of his interviews and were a lot more impressed. I kind of agree with them. He could even be a guy who is a better HC than coordinator because he does have some personality and leader to him. He's not a pushover and will crack down on the players at times. One thing I didn't know, Belt said Dak and CeeDee really like and respect him. (Belt of course is still a huge Kellen fan and thinks he should be the hire.)

Don't get me wrong, Jerry's process is still totally misguided and the pool we're looking at sucks, but I'm not as down on him as most.

I'm still skeptical. One guy reports it with "sources say" and the others run with it. Are these the same sources of Sdogo and Hostile? Are they just speculating just like we are and since they have a platform name their unnamed sources for the clicks and traffic? Until I hear something official from the team stating he's coming in for an interview, I'll remain skeptical.
 
I am still laughing at this whole ordeal.
The far and away best coach on the open market decided he didn’t want to coach in Dallas anymore. The second best option chose the Chicago Bears, a team that specializes in head coaching turnover, without even waiting to hear if Dallas was a possibikyy

If anything would humble that hillbilly piece of shit, it should be that. But you know he isn’t self aware enough to even realize he should be embarrassed.

I’m just not sure why Jerry would think anyone would be so happy to have this job that they would let him saddle them with coaches in training to take their job, and be open about it.

Who knows if there's any truth to this. Does his "hearing" mean anything? Not sure how much he really knows, I thought Belt was their "insider."
