May sound silly. But I think this FA period and draft will tell us exactly how intentional this self inflicted collapse really is.

They could have 100 mil in cap space if they wanted it. It's not even complicated or hard to do. Flip a switch on Dak, flip a switch on Lamb and you're almost there.

Synthesizing all this, I’m guessing the 10 hours were spent analyzing McCarthy’s ways and determining how far off Schottenheimer was from it.

They asked Schottenheimer how much he’d change and answer essentially was ‘refine and build upon foundation already here’

Conversely, Kellen Moore the boy genius named the several wunderkind things he’d change (as any normal candidate would) and Jones’ kept hearing the cash register sounds.

Jones’ determined that Schottenheimer as bargain value-bin version of McCarthy is better than Kellen Moore’s “I’ve seen the world now and this is what I’d do” plan.
