Actually, I somewhat agree with this. Jerry is a football moron. I probably know more about the oil business than he knows about running a football team. When it comes to making decisions for the Cowboys he has no internal knowledge of his own. He has to rely on info provided to him by the coaches, the scouts and worst of all - his idiot cronies like Larry Lacewell and Switzer.
This is what is so pathetic about his entire quest to be known as a football man and by being his own GM and not hiring legit, quality HC's. He so much wants to get the credit and glory for being the architect of building a championship team, but none of the decisions he makes is his own decisions, it's just choosing who's input to listen to at a given moment.
I guess doing it his way means making sure there is no other dominant figure in the organization and hoping to fool people into thinking the decisions being made are all his own, when in fact he's just listening to input from those within and outside the organization and making the final call.
