I think the lesson here isn't that everyone has to start somewhere.

It's that no matter how basic and even mediocre what you're doing is, go all in and give it everything you have. Al is performing this like it's the song of the year.

I've never had any interest in Weird Al. I doubt I've ever heard one of his songs from start to finish.
