DCC Appreciation Thread...

You people got really good eyes and a ridiculous taste for pastries, apparently. You wouldn't know that place was there unless you were looking for it.
Or if you saw any of the numerous billboard telling you it was coming up every 5 miles

If you're cruising down an interstate at 80 mph you don't see shit off the highway. You just don't. You have that cruise control on and are focusing on the windshield. Now, if you're on a US or State highway you have to slow down to go through those towns. Meaning you see stupid shit like this pastry bullshit. YOU DONT SEE THAT ON AN INTERSTATE. My god, how fucking clear do I have to make it?

Now I'm done.

Maybe.

So I assume you flew by Buc- Ee’s also.

My point exactly. Unless you know it's there, you aren't seeing it.
Except the signs, and that real Texans that spend any amount of time in the central area know of it's tasty kolaches. Shit I remember stopping there back in the early 80s on the way to the deer lease

Do you not understand how interstates work? They don't go "through" cities. They go around them. That's the point of an interstate. The small US and state highways slow down and go through cities. Interstates do not.
Wait, what? Interstates sure as hell do go through cities. I94 goes right through Bismarck ND. All the way to Minneapolis MN. Where, yep. It goes right through the middle of the city. There are off ramps about every half mile or so.

And a kolache is a sweet pastry.

Summer 2024. DCC convention. Start with some Kolache House pastries, then we move on to some Chciken fried chicken steak, then slumber party.

I’ll sponsor Phil’s flight.

and I35 goes straight through Austin, same city where Lubbock boy was holed up recently.

Must be a central Texas thing. I may have driven by it, but I have never heard of it. Oh, and driven by it would be on an interstate highway 30 miles from the actual town.

It was right there but to be fair to @Iamtdg it was probably about 17 years ago so I m sure all the signs and stuff wasn't at the point that it is now. We also had a full vehicle so the conversations were most likely distracting as well as actually driving. I believe that it was also just after breakfast and nobody would have been hungry.

Not totally true. Many interstate highways go through cities. I-70 runs straight through Columbus, Indy, St Louis and Denver.

What I mean by going through a city is having to stop at stoplights and shit like that. On an interstate you don't stop at stoplights. They have overpasses, so you can pass over the city.

Side note it is quite humorous the things we find to argue about on this board…
We do find the stupidest shit to argue about. :lol
