DCC Appreciation Thread...

Can you imagine paying $2500 a month to a group to monitor the height of grass for you? That's insane.

Yeah that's insane. Mine are like 1200 a year and I live on a golf course with a pool. And mine are only that high because I own a second lot for a bigger yard.

Around here the condo association fees have gotten pretty out of control though. I just can't imagine owning a condo but then still having to pay 500 or 600 a month. They claim it's because insurance rates have gone up but I think it's just a way to eat into the Airbnb profits.

There's no way I would live anywhere they have HOA fee. I've been looking at lakeside places in East Texas and quite a few of them have this stupid shit.

You might try Cedar Creek Lake. I don't think there are HOAs on that lake.

Really, that's awesome. I might well move east, at least somewhat, some day when family situation allows. So sick of constantly being in some stage of drought. Where (generally) are you looking at?

Around Lake Fork, Lake Tawakoni, and Cedar Creek Reservoir. I'm not looking for anything too extravagant. Also, PK and Lake Granbury.

Edit: Me too. I want to live where things are green and I don't have to see Mesquite trees everywhere.
