I can't imagine being in an HOA for 20 bucks, much less 2500. You basically get the privilege of having your very own bunch of Karens getting mad at you for peeing off your own porch.

Yeah that's insane. Mine are like 1200 a year and I live on a golf course with a pool. And mine are only that high because I own a second lot for a bigger yard.
Around here the condo association fees have gotten pretty out of control though. I just can't imagine owning a condo but then still having to pay 500 or 600 a month. They claim it's because insurance rates have gone up but I think it's just a way to eat into the Airbnb profits.
