We call these wall anchors. Is that not what everyone calls them? I have never heard them called a plug before.

That's what they're called everywhere as far as I know. Whoever does "Historic Vids" has never done any construction or even the smallest DIY... Maybe English isn't even his first language.

Maybe they were just mimicking what the post said, but there were people in the comments calling them plugs, too, so it made me wonder if some people called them that.

I am no engineer but just maybe they should have used a little bit bigger gear sprocket. But, this company took 33 years to get to that point. Maybe they finally ran out of time to make any more adjustments?
