But we didn't have that before him. During the era of he-who-shall-not-be-named, backup QB = autoloss, and there were times when a win was desperately needed. A functional organization would prioritize competent backup QB play. I mean, Jameis is exciting, but I will take a Cooper Rush bus driver win any day of the week.
Yeah the problem is that doesn't win any meaningful games. Ultimately when you play the Eagles or someone like that Cooper Rush gets destroyed because he is so limited. But sure, for a few games where you know your All Pro Dak will be back, Rush is nice. But when it's a season ender, there is no point to a Cooper Rush such as last year.
