I think 3 is probably about right. Of course in that third year I don't know what level he will still really be playing at. You sure as hell better have someone waiting in the wings by that third year because Romo will be running on fumes. I think we probably have 2 years left with Romo playing at this type of level.

What's the problem? If his agents wanted to get a deal done, they would respond to the offer. My guess is they are sitting back hoping old Jerry pops up again and bids against himself.

There are deadlines that need to be met for things to be done. Bugging the agents has nothing to do with making a better offer. Sitting on your ass waiting for the other guy to move really doesn't accomplish anything.

The team is obviously content with tagging him. It's Dez that's so adamant about it. Maybe instead of crying on twitter, he should call his agent and get them to engage the team and start negotiating.

First of all being content with just tagging him is retarded and it will ultimately hurt our team next year if that's what happens.

I'm starting to understand why Dez isn't feeling the love though. Sounds like the Cowboys aren't pushing negotiations at all.

Gimme a break. They can tag him and structure any new contracts for others in a way to fit them in. They could also still sign him long term and remove the tag later.

And let's be honest, a $13M franchise tag is far from not showing love.

When WRs of his caliber are getting 20+ mil in signing bonuses 13 mil isn't exactly wonderful. The whole Dez thing is getting annoying. They just need to get the long term deal done. The fact that both sides are sitting and not actively negotiating is very annoying to me.

Creating drama with Dez will lead to nothing but more losses next year.
