if he can spell him in spots to make Murray's carries more effective then it's a good thing. Randle is effective in spots, he at least doesn't lose yardage. I just wish he and Dunbar were better pass blockers to give Murray rest there, where he is maybe the best in the NFL.

What spots besides the spot where the game is in hand does it make sense to play Randle? You yourself admit he is not good at pass protection.

So you have an inferior runner, inferior blocker. Let's play him. Just to try to make Murray's carries "more effective", whatever that means.

Most good backs need to work themselves into games and get better with work, not worse.

It is one thing to play Murray in trash time. It is another to play a player like Randle in a statement game.

If you are going to beat the Seahawks on their own field, you are going to have to impose your will on them and break their spirit.

Sorry, don't see Randle as part of that effort.

Agreed. Randle's extra carries can start next week, and maybe not even then if Eli starts owning us like he used to.

One more game isn't going to kill Murray.

If you look at this as a statement game, one that can springboard your team, you play your best.

You don't save up. You bring it all.

Now if you are just chalking this one up as a loss anyways and admit that you never saw this team only having one loss going into Seattle, yeah, you play an inferior player more than he has played up until this point.
 
i think they should just play the normal game. if Murray looks gassed get him in there. the pitchcount thing is overblown, that's what they're gonna do

Sure they should. But Jones has been talking up Randle for the last several weeks, really laying it on thick this week.

My money is on they give the boss what he wants, to our own detriment.
