He looked good the last 2 weeks, plus even in a game against the Rams where he struggled, he still made a big play in the passing game which is something he's doing more and more of.

That suggests to me that some things are starting to click for him.

i feel like at this point in his career he sort of is what he is. expecting things to "click" after this long just leads to disappointment. He'll be replaced soon. McClain-Lee-Durant is probably out best lineup

His speed and power jump out at you. He's the guy you want hitting Marshawn Lynch or Russell Wilson when he tries to run.

It's almost too good to be true that he's playing and actually thinking of settling in as a Cowboy.

There was one play against the Texans that the second McClain got his hands on the runner he immediately went backwards. Looked like a play that the runner would have at least fallen forward for an extra yard or two against any other defender. I just remember seeing him make that play and was amazed at the power he brings. It wasn't a wooooo hit. It was just impressive the way he stops a guy right in his tracks.

He hasn't even played the equivalent of 3 full seasons yet.

I don't believe he's fully developed yet and I think there's still time for him to grow as a player.

Carter, with all his warts, is better the Durant. Does he get beat in coverage? Sure. But he makes plays and can rush the passer a bit. We'll miss his athleticism this week.

Agreed. Especially if you consider scheme and position changes.

Not saying he's going to turn into some perennial pro bowler, but I could see him improving into a nice piece of the defense. He has the athleticism. Now we need him to grasp the mental part. Whether or not he will completely is the question.

I saw basically no drop off with Hitchens playing that spot. Hell Hitchens even almost picked a ball off. Durant on the other hand has looked much better then Carter when he has played the weakside spot in this defense. Carters looked like crap when he had to play the weakside LBer spot.

we've seen pretty much nothing from him

if it wasn't for his tantalizing athleticism he'd be out of the league.

Murray needs to get a handle on that. Seriously, we can't keep having turnovers, especially against the Hawks. It will kill us, if they don't.

Murray won't break that record IMO. He will either be beat down and ineffective if he is in he lineup that much. In addition I would like to think that he will get a reduced workload.

Whotta bromance.

I think he'll get nicked and then they learn the hard way that Randle and Dunbar aren't even close as good as they thought they were.

We can joke, but he certainly belongs in the discussion of the best alltime Cowboys.

In the discussion as top 5 alltime, definitely. Best ever, nah.
