None of you guys saw a lot of the Cowboy greats. Bob Lilly for one.

bump Moose for Harvey Martin
That's close when talking about impact. Moose was key to our early 90's rings. So, in the spirit of players key to our success I have to rank Moose higher.
Lilly was both in mine and Booze's top 10.
Irvin to me is #1, but Staubach is probably the true #1 Cowboy of all time.
I loved Irvin so much just because I felt he represented everything (sans the off the field stuff, of course) that you would want a Cowboys player to be.
He was great, he was the ultimate teammate, he had the best work ethic, he played his best in big games, he was the definition of a leader, and he absolutely loved being a Cowboy. He was the epitome of what a Cowboys player should be, and that's why I like Dez so much.
Dez isn't quite on Irvin's level yet, but he's the closest thing we've had to Irvin in terms of encompassing all of those qualities.
Best Cowboy...or your favorite Cowboy?
Definitely my favorite, but I think he's legitimately #2 at worst because of all the qualities he possessed as a Cowboys player.
Staubach is the Cowboys to many people and he was a star in many different ways. I don't have to tell you all of the great moments he's responsible for, and being such a good guy, he is probably the one guy you want to be the face of the franchise from a player's standpoint. So it absolutely makes sense to place him #1.
Say Romo wins one SB with the Cowboys this year...where does he jump to in the list? Does he become ROH candidate? HOF?
