2026 Senior Bowl Thread

Allen did not play in 1984. He was drafted a decade later.

Man, it's hard to convey sarcasm in a gif sometimes.

12 seems way too early for Parker, 20 would be fine.

Pass on Parker. But Howell at 20 would be perfect. Not sure Parker even fits in a 3-4. More of a 4-3 LE to me. I'm not looking for Greg Ellis in this defense.

Yea I could see that too, although Jarlan Phillips played a sort of 3-4 OLB there this past season and I could see Parker fitting similarly.

Yeah I'm really just not a Parker fan in all honesty. But I am really excited to see EZ as an OLBer. He will be returning more to what he did in college.

Phillips had 2 sacks for Philly after the trade. A total of 5 last year. I really think his impact gets overrated. I don't want Jaelen Phillips either.

Some thoughts based on what I could glean from the bits of practice they show on TV:

-Colton Hood looked excellent, had a PD and sticky coverage throughout 1-on-1's and team drills. I wouldn't take him at 12 like Jeremiah had us taking him but he's definitely in play at 20.
-If we hadn't gone nuts addressing DT I'd be banging the table for Lee Hunter potentially even at 12. He's been arguably the best guy I've seen here and always flashed when I watched TTU, excellent movement/explosiveness for a guy his size.
-TJ Parker looks fine but the hype seems a bit over the top, a lot of his highlights came against this chud OT from Maryland. Definitely not a consideration at 12, I'd think about it at 20 but given the 3-4 move I think I'd probably go elsewhere.
-Other classic 4-3 DE types like Zion Young and Dani Dennis-Sutton also looked good but I don't think they're much of a consideration given the 3-4 shift.
-Romello Height looked really good in team drills, didn't see him much in 1-on-1's sadly. Would be more than happy with him if we trade down to 30-40ish.
-One guy I always noticed watching Auburn (with an eye on Faulk) was Keyron Crawford, but he's really a 3-4 OLB only so I kind of wrote him off, now that we're clearly going to a 3-4 he's someone I'd love in the 3rd/4th range.
-Gabe Jacas looks like an interesting jumbo 3-4 OLB, I might consider him in the 2nd if we can add one in a trade down.
-Kyle Louis, Bryce Boettcher, Jacob Rodriguez and Xavian Sorey look like potential value picks in the 3/4 range at LB.

Getting the feeling we picked the wrong year to have two first rounders. There's a reason the Jets wanted our pick next year.

It's definitely a down year, especially at the top. But even in bad drafts there are very good players in the top 20.

It's more about next year being extremely strong vs. this year being weak.

The top 5ish of this class is weak and lacking in elite, top end talent, but I don't think there's a significant difference between about 10-30 this year compared to most other classes.

Next year is just completely stacked.

Things change so quickly. This was supposed to be a great QB year. Now guys either went back to school or got injured or fell off. I agree that next year could be a stellar draft. But this one has a lot of talent still. A lot of pass rushing and corner talent to be honest.

There is no question the NIL has made it hard to predict future year drafts. Eventually things will reach an equilibrium. But we probably will see older players in general just because college money is so great. And a player who looks awesome is liable to change schools at any moment for the cash.

I know WR is off the table but damn Malachi Fields looked great out there. Hypothetically if all shit hits the fan and we have to trade Pickens (Dear god at least franchise him and get real compensation) Malachi Fields looks like a perfect fit. His body is even built just like Pickens. Guy had 10 yards on the defenders on a deep ball that Taylen Green overthrew and Fields full on laid out for a terrible throw to make the awesome catch yesterday.

At 6'4" 218 pounds to get that separation on a deep ball just feels so much like Pickens.

Another guy who really stood out oddly enough on team stuff was this LBer Xavian Sorey. Not listed as a very big guy but man he was all over the place and was probably hitting more than they would have liked. But damn his name was being called every other play during the team portion. And the offense couldn't do anything with him busting up plays.

I still won't be surprised if something like this happens. Pickens and his agent want the moon, Jerry doesn't think he's worth it (and he may not be), we get a good pick for him, Jerry takes a WR as his Pickens Replacement.

In regards to Pickens, I think we should franchise him and let the chips fall where they may. As long as they don't draft a WR high, that is.

I actually think that's what will happen, unless Pickens is willing to accept a number way lower than I think he'd take.

It's all up to Pickens really. If he wants to be in Dallas he will. If he decides he wants to go to the highest bidder he will make that happen too.

I want Pickens first. But if he leaves, WR becomes a massive need and Fields may get my top vote as a late first, early second type prospect right now.
