2026 Season | Week 5 | Gameday Chatter Thread | Bucs @ Cowboys | 10/08/2026

Parker wasn't ready for the full job. Not with these fragile players.

These guys needed to have 2025 coached out of their systems through hard repetition of the easiest concepts first. I'd have fought to play them all the first half of each preseason game.
Yes, they should have played in the preseason but looking at how incompetent and clueless Parker looks, I don't think it would have made much of a difference.

I'd rather this season in a total disaster that way Jerry has no choice but to fire the entire staff and we get a top 5 draft pick.
How many times has this been said on this board? And, I'm not disagreeing with you at all. It's just sad that we have had to pin our hopes on this so many times over the last 3 decades.

2-15. Let’s do this
Your Dallas Cowboys will find ways to fuck even that up.

The Eagles will beat us to the worst record and we'll win this idiotic division and get absolutely creamed in the playoffs.

And if we're 2-15, we've traded away ALL our own 2027 picks except our 2nd rounder-- so yeah, no real benefit.

There's literally no way out of this Hell Jerry's locked us in except honestly through it.

We aren't going 2-15 or even 6-11, too much offensive talent for that as we saw against Houston unless they give up on the moron coach, which is possible. The travel probably had something to do with it as well, Tampa had two straight home games before this and hadn't flown in like three weeks, while we obviously flew back and forth to Brazil, then Houston all in about a 7 day span.

They'll win 7 on the low end, 9 on the high end and continue sputtering around aimlessly because we have a HC no other team would consider interviewing, let alone hiring.

I think that's normally true but the way that game had shaken out Tampa was playing better than we were.

Had we hit the WIDE OPEN CeedDee Lamb on the conversion and had Ferg not dropped a pass that literally hit him in the face, Dallas might have actually won yesterday's abortion.

Normally Dak makes that wide open pass to Lamb 99 out of 100. Just a fucked up day.

Anyways, I hate the analytics approach because our Dallas Cowboys will always find new ways to botch it, like they did.

I get it but I don't like it. I like having as many bites at the apple as possible.

Doing this, it only pays off if you make that first one. If you miss it then you have to try another one just to get back to square one. And you're screwed if you miss both, and we're talking a fifty fifty play.

If you play for the tie you might still have a chance at the end of the game to win with a last second FG depending on how things play out, and if you go to OT you will have at least one and maybe multiple chances to win it.

14-3 it is then

Didn’t realize there could be such a thing as a bad year to pick to go 2-15. Next year, we shoot for 2-15 :lol

Brace yourselves, boys. The blitzes are coming.

Ravi, you can't be serious.

Speaking of which, Jane Slater talked to Jerry after the game and he reiterated that they could very well be in the market to make further improvements.

:doh

This fucking buffoon is going to throw away all of our draft capital trying to patch the Titanic when what he really should be doing is looking to replace and improve the coaching.

Regardless of the Garrett shit, we really are in the exact same position as we were with him in the early years.

Moron HC with a record that vacillates somewhere around .500 because we have elite, but inconsistent offensive talent. Anybody with a real football brain can see that the HC is incompetent but there's just enough there with the offense to win just enough games that it gives an eternal moron like Jerry hope that maybe he should give the moron HC another year.

The only hope is that they either crater or Jerry isn't as patient because he doesn't have as much history with Schottenheimer as he did with Garrett.

Bowles not kicking the FG was historically awful, but let's not pretend the decision to go for two there isn't running neck and neck with Bowles decision.

I'm always happy to make the playoffs. I hope we do.

But you're right we won't be 2-15 or anywhere close.

Dak's performance yesterday was an anomaly, traditionally he beats most blitzes.

What hurt most was staying cold on the sidelines while the defense let Tampa eat almost the entire the clock with no turnovers.

THAT's what's really coming, TOP ball vs our inept defense. Fucking a-hole John Harbaugh showed everyone the blueprint in game one.
