2026 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread...

Silly.

Divide these numbers by 8.

That means:

2.9 targets, 2.6 receptions, 28 yards. Per game.

He's averaging giving up about 2 or 3 catches and 28 yards per game and someone is calling him a "bust"?

What???
I just think it is because his game is boring. He doesn't make plays. He's competent.

Draft position demanded the next Woodson.

Jerry Jones is worth $23.4 billion. Complaining about paying a coach 4 million instead of 13 million is the equivalent of someone making $100k, complaining about $30. Yes, I did the math.

So Rex Ryan has been brought up in the last week so here he talking about Parker. He does start of mentioning about Jerry trying to hire him a few years ago but they "couldn't come to terms".

Yep. Money. No way Jerry even asks him now so mark him off the list.

My guess is Jerry would be willing to shell out the money for him next year if the defense finishes the season at the same pace AND he decides to keep Schotty.

Paying good money for a DC would be worth to him in that scenario because it would be a way for him to salvage his HC and not have to do another HC search.

It's infuriating. It shouldn't remotely be a stumbling block. It's an investment in their product that, if they win would clearly make the product (and Jerry's wallet) more money.

AND THERE'S NO SALARY CAP ON COACHING.

It's one of the areas that the team's massive revenue advantage should make a big difference.

And yet the most valuable team in the world is unwilling to spend money on it because they are too stupid to understand the difference between being guaranteed to win and raising your chances of winning.

100%. I can only take solace that if they continue to play poorly, Jones will suffer embarrassment and take heat from the media. Probably not on the latter, but one can hope.

It goes back to that discussion about paying big salaries vs having control. Any good, proven coach is going to demand a pretty high salary, but also control. And that's the part Jerry won't have. He said it again just the other day when he said he was "buying an occupation" and not an investment when he bought the team.
